Glenalmond: The Full Story
Glenalmond is proud to be Scotland’s largest installer of Flowing Floor Screeds. Founded in 1998, we’re a family-owned business based in Perth, serving the whole of Scotland, including the islands.
We started small, with just four employees and our first project—a flowing screed installation over underfloor heating in a church in Kilsyth. Since then, we’ve grown rapidly, working on everything from cosy self-builds to large school projects.
While not the first company in Scotland to offer flowing floor screeds, we recognised early on the significant advantages they could bring to the industry. Flowing floor screeds reduce labour time and costs, while also minimising manual work, making the construction process more efficient and streamlined. This insight has been a driving force behind our growth and commitment to quality in every project we undertake.
Today, our team has expanded to 30 dedicated staff members operating from two locations. We collaborate with national and regional housebuilders, local builders, developers, architects, consultants, and self-builders. Our products and services are widely requested in the industry, and we’re honoured to have been featured several times on Grand Designs, highlighting our commitment to quality.
What sets us apart? We have our own fleet of concrete mixer trucks and screed pumps, allowing us to offer flexible and timely services. In 2017, we took a big step forward by opening our own state-of-the-art concrete plant in Dundee through our subsidiary, Scotscreed Limited. This enables us to produce most of our own screed and concrete products, ensuring we meet our clients' needs efficiently.

The BSI Kitemark Scheme for Ready-Mixed Concrete is accredited by UKAS, the UK Accreditation Service.
Certificate of Entitlement to use the Kitemark in respect of Ready-Mixed Concrete supplied to conform to BS EN 206 and BS 8500-2 under a Quality Management System complying with ISO 9001.

Glenalmond Contracts are an SSIP certified contractor having both CHAS and SMAS accreditation. In addition to this we are members of the FTA, BSI & ROSPA. Glenalmond Contracts are registered with the ICO, SEPA and hold a Goods Vehicle Operators License.
